Digital agency (our own website)

How we made our own website ready for Google and AI search

We ran our audit-first SEO, AEO and GEO method on our own new website, fixing technical faults and building trust signals for Google and AI assistants.

Challenge
A brand-new agency website has no history, no reviews and no backlinks, so search engines and AI assistants have little reason to trust it. Our own audit found faults that would have held it back: an out-of-date sitemap with identical dates and a page that should not be indexed, page titles up to 80 characters that Google would cut off, analytics scripts blocked by the site’s own security policy, an empty page open to indexing, and thin business details for search engines to read.
Solution
We ran the same audit-first process we use for clients and fixed the issues in priority order. The sitemap now builds itself from the site’s content and lists only pages worth indexing, with real update dates. Over 20 page titles were rewritten to about 60 characters with the keyword first. The security-policy conflict was corrected and consent settings now load before any tracking. The empty page is hidden from search until real work is added. We also added richer business and author markup, an llms.txt file for AI tools, open access for AI search crawlers, and answer-first articles with FAQ markup.
Outcome
As of October 2026, the longest page title went from 80 to 60 characters, the sitemap went from a hand-maintained file to an automatic one, and the analytics blocking fault was fixed before launch traffic arrived. The site now has five answer-first articles, structured data on every key page and a clear route for AI assistants to read it. It is too early to report rankings or traffic, and we will not guess. We will add Google Search Console figures to this page after 90 days of data.
